When we were growing up, people actually watched TV. They didn’t endlessly scroll through their preferred streaming service while using their phone on the toilet. They sat their fat asses on the couch and let TV passively wash over them like real fucking Americans.
A big part of the TV-watching experience was the commercials and all the weirdo characters that spawned from that. COMMERCIAL TV is a sketch show where every sketch is a commercial for something or other.
